With fresh snow in the Twin Cities scarcely two days ago — and up to half a foot(!) further south — casual observers might think that the 2016 Spring housing market has yet to formally kick off.

Spring Market Intermission

Many years, depending on when it falls, Easter Sunday serves as a bit of an “All-Star Break”:  everyone pauses to spend time with family, go to Church (or not), and enjoy the weather (maybe).

With real estate offices uniformly closed, it’s hard (if not possible) to set up showings.

The good news for Buyers and Sellers:  the Sunday following Easter Sunday is predictably one of the busiest of the year for open houses, when the briefly quieted market comes roaring back.
