People Magazine:  ‘World’s Most Beautiful Woman’

I never really belonged to either the “I Love Gwyneth Paltrow” camp or the “I Hate Gwyneth Paltrow” camp (yes, they really exist, complete with multiple Web sites).

Instead, I’d always placed myself in the “I Don’t Especially Think (or Care) About Gwyneth Paltrow” camp.

peopleHowever, her recent selection by People Magazine as “the World’s Most Beautiful Woman” and accompanying fawning profile (“Having it all — and then some”), has reluctantly nudged shoved me towards (if not into) the “anti-Gwyneth” camp.

What’s Not to Like Hate?

Really, how can you not feel disdain for a woman who:

–Is apparently more attractive at 40 than she was at 20.

–Whose biggest complaint is how much “it sucks to work out.  It’s so hard.  But it’s part of my job, so I make it part of my work day.”

By the way, that’s 2 hours a day, 5 days a week (that’s more time than I have — combined — for meals, family, and practically everything else not work-related).

–Can apparently eat anything she wants.  See, “five, 2-hour workouts per week.”

–Ends each and every day putting her two equally perfect children to bed (Dad is Coldplay front man Chris Martin), then unwinds with a leisurely hot bath.

–In her spare(?) time, has a best-selling cook book (“It’s All Good”) — giving her fans and non-fans alike literally even more food for fodder.

I don’t know if Gwyneth is the world’s most beautiful woman, but she surely has to be one of the luckiest and most entitled.

P.S.:  Runner-up title for her book?

“Let Them Eat (Low-Fat) Cake.”

Kidding . . . . 🙂
