Judging from a quick tour of city streets this morning, there would appear to be a record number of entrants in this year’s  (unofficial) Twin Cities Dirty Car Competition.

The contest runs through February (or until the next thaw); the prize has yet to be announced.

(One idea:   first in line at a mobbed Twin Cities car wash once the temperature hits, say, 20 degrees — sadly, a good 15-plus degrees away today.)

P.S.:  search online for some public domain photos that go with “dirty car,” and you’ll encounter some (unprintable) uses of snow sculpture that you probably haven’t seen before  — but will be awfully hard to get out of your mind once you have.
