What would the ideal realtor look like? They would be able to negotiate and draft contracts like a lawyer; crunch numbers like a CPA; market like an entrepreneur; and spot hidden value like an investor. When you hire Ross, you not only get a skilled realtor, you also get . . . a former attorney and CPA, an entrepreneur, and a savvy investor. Ross is also a good listener, highly ethical, and easy to work with.
EXPERIENCE
Since becoming a Realtor in 2002, Ross has handled numerous transactions totaling more than $25 million, both residential and multi-faimily, all over the Twin Cities. In 2005 and 2007, Ross' sales volume qualified for Edina Realty's Leadership Circle, signifying the top 10% of company realtors. Mpls-St. Paul Magazine recently named Ross a 2008 "Super Agent," a designation awarded to just 4% of local realtors. His blog, City Lakes Real Estate, is frequently quoted by a wide range of media, online and off, including The New York Times, RealClearMarkets.com, and the Star Tribune.
In 2005, Ross was appointed to the Minnesota Association of Realtors' Professional Standards Committee. The Committee is responsible for hearing complaints brought against realtors -- both by other realtors and the general public -- and imposing any appropriate sanctions. He was reappointed in 2006.
Ross is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, and has an economics degree from Stanford University. He practiced corporate law and worked as a CPA prior to becoming a realtor.
TECHNOLOGY
PDA's. Digital cameras. Blog's. Wi-Fi. E-mail. Cell phones. Faxes. The Web. What do all these things have to do with real estate? They are all tools for better matching home buyers and sellers, faster. Ross uses the latest technology to communicate with clients and prospective buyers; track market developments; and maximize each house's exposure to prospective buyers.
PERSONAL"BIO"
Kurt Vonnegut was supposed to have said that "everyone should live in California, but leave before they get soft, and live in Manhattan, but leave before they get hard." Ross has done both. A St. Louis Park native, he and his wife, Laura, and three children live in Minneapolis' Sunset Gables neighborhood near Cedar Lake.
