“Our First Appointment Isn’t Until Mid-December”

I think it’s safe to say that there are two schools of thought when it comes to window washing this (dark) time of year:  1) it doesn’t really matter, because the days are so short; 2) because natural light is in such scare supply this time of year . . . now is when it matters most.

It’s also the case that, for prospective home sellers, sparkling clean windows are one of those inexpensive prep items that can easily add $3 (or $5!) for every $1 spent.

All-Year Round (Or at Least Above 10°)

You’d think that sub-zero temp’s would effectively put the kibosh on window washing for the season.

Not so — at least not until temps fall below 10°.

When I called to schedule an appointment the other day for my own home, post-street repairs, I was surprised to hear that at least one big contractor in the Twin Cities is backlogged almost a full month.

They show up unless/until temps fall below 10° — although between 10° and 20° they charge a $25 premium to include an antifreeze additive.
