Cost of Doing Business(?)

“The same real estate sign company that needs 3 “reminders” to straighten a leaning “For Sale” sign in May will show up 2 days early to remove the same sign, post-sale, in June — before the listing agent has had a chance to remove their sign riders.”

The Realtor in question murphy2would be . . . me; and that just happened this week.

In theory, the sign installation company is supposed to return the sign riders (“Open Sunday!” “5 Bedrooms,” etc.) within a few weeks.

In practice, however, you never see ’em again, or, they get returned so scratched and otherwise beaten up that they’re unusable.

P.S.:  Veteran Realtors regularly replace these (cost:  about $25 per).

Or — in my case — use touch-up paint to freshen them up.
